TEHRAN – The governor of Khuzestan Province said on Monday that no civil activist has been arrested in connection to the recent terrorist attack in the southwestern city of Ahvaz.

Gholamreza Shariati added that a woman has been taken into custody in this regard, IRNA reported.

Over the past few days, some claims emerged of large-scale arrest of civil and political activists following the attack in the southwestern province.

The claims alleged among those arrested were women and children.
